No more pictures Mommy!!!

Fisher knows now that when you bring out the camera that you are going to take a picture so this is his new face!!!
But then I get pictures like this and I love it!

Finally Walking!!!

So we took video of Fisher finally walking... He is still a little scared but I would say about 40% of the time, he is walking! We are excited for him that he is finally walking but that just means that he has to start wearing shoes. My beach boy still has not worn shoes since he has been born. He wore them a couple of time for show but not all the time! He would rather be barefoot like his mommy!!!

Doug's Radiation is going great!

Here is the mask that he has to wear. They bolt it to the table so he cannot move. They are pinpointing certain spots so they want to make sure that it is just in those spots! Mom talked to him yesterday and he was feeling good. He also started the Chemo pill. Everything is going great! Just wanted to update everyone. Please keep the prayers coming!

Prayers are needed...

Please pray for the family of Sam Bish. He is a child that I have been following on Caringbridge and he earned his angel wings last night at 7pm. This is what they wrote:
Samuel earned his angel wings at 7:07PM surrounded by his family in his bed at home. Samuel is now healed, cancer free, running on both legs again.

Being a mother... I could not imagine losing your child!!! Keep this family in your prayers!

Update on Doug...

Doug is doing great. He wanted to be fitted for his mask last Thursday but they will not be able to until Monday. So he will start treatment on Thursday or Friday. They went ahead and got settled in to Houston so they will know their way around.

Happy Birthday Papa!!!

Visit with Uncle Doug

Uncle Doug came to visit before he started his Chemo and Radiation. We had a very good visit with lots of friends and family!!! We were telling Doug that when Fisher gets older... him and Fisher will have to have an eating contest because they both eat so much! I had a calling last night to go back to church. I believe that I am going to try out this new church called Mosaic. I have heard a lot of people going to that church and I believe that I really need God in my life right now. I have been following a Caringbridge site for Sam Bish and his mom always puts that she is with FROG... Fully Relying on God! I believe that it is a good saying and I will keep with it!!! Please pray for Doug as he starts his Chemo and Radiation.

Updates on Doug and me...

So I don't think that I share the fact that I have been having some problems lately with my side going numb. I found a new doctor named Dr. Banister and she is great. We did an MRI yesterday and they called me back the same afternoon to tell me the results. Everything was good with my brain scan and everything looked good with my lumbar scan as well. She just saw a little arthritis and a spot on my T-12. But she said nothing to worry about. Since there was nothing major that she could see... they are sending me to a neurologist. I should hear from them on Monday to see what the next step is. Please pray that they will find the source of this problem.

My Uncle is doing good. He is in good spirits and his words are" You say the cancer is aggressive... well I am ready to get aggressive with it!!! " He is in such good spirits and he is ready to start the chemo pill and radiation. He was fitted for a mask on Thursday and spoke with the doctor about the radiation. He said that it could be bad or it could be good. Just depends on how his body reacts to it all. They will do radiation 6 days a week for 6 weeks then they will make sure that nothing has come back. If nothing is there, then they will just monitor every 6 months! To show you just how stong he is... He had major brain surgery on Friday and was out of the hospital on Sunday!!! God is good!!! Please continue to pray. This is going to be a long road but we are with him every step of the way and he is so strong mentally and physically that I have no doubt that he can beat this!!!

Update on Uncle Doug

Surgery on Friday went great! He sounds and is feeling better. He is ready to fight this and is in really good spirits!!! It is stage 4 but the doctor is confident that he removed all of the tumor. So now he will be taking a chemo pill and doing 6 weeks of radiation to start out with. Please just keep him in your prayers because this is going to be a long road to fight!!! Thank you all for your continued prayers for his recovery!

In Need of Prayers

This is my Uncle Doug with Fisher, his Great Uncle! We just recently found out that my uncle has a brain tumor that is malignant. He has to have brain surgery on Friday and then we will know the extent of everything. We are very optimistic that things will be okay with him. We will keep you informed but until then, please pray that things will go well on Friday!

As the saying says... I'd rather be fishing!!!
