New Orleans Trip

We went to New Orleans on Tuesday to meet with Doug and Peggy. My brother came in on Monday and left today! We had a wonderful trip with Doug and enjoyed our visit to New Orleans! We also had game night last night which is going to be a new tradition that we are going to start! I think that it will be LOTS of fun! Hope everyone had a good Christmas vacation and I am ready to "Ring in the New Year"!!!

Christmas 2010

Fisher's 2nd Christmas was a little more active that the first!!! He had a great time opening presents this year! We had a wonderful time at Grammy & Big D's in the morning, Great- Grandma's with Grandma at lunch then Papa & Bebe's at Dinner... Long day but LOVE to spend time with the family! Christmas is all about the REASON for the SEASON for me... And FAMILY! I would rather not get ANYTHING at all than to spend all my time with my family and friends!!! Thank you guys for making our Christmas so special this year!!! Next year will be a blast when Fisher knows who "HO HO" is!!! Merry Christmas to all... and to all a good night!!!

Office Pranks

One of our Office Mates went out of town for a couple of days... It threw up Christmas in her office!

Scared of Santa

We have our company kid's Christmas party every year and Fisher was old enough to enjoy it this year! Well, at least the popcorn and coloring station. He did NOT like Santa. He wanted to get on the Bouncy Slide but...we all know how he got his cast!

New Cast

Fisher went to the doctor yesterday to get a x-ray and to get another cast. His other cast was not allowing him to stand on it. Dr. Terrel was very impressed and with the x-ray. He said that it is healing well and that he should be able to get the cast off on January 10th. 2 days before he gets his tubes!!! Above it a picture of him with his old cast!

Girl's Christmas Party

We had a really good time painting this year! I painted my picture for Aunt Lisa because she loves crabs so much!!!

What is that?

Sorry it is a bath picture but thank goodness we have friends that have been through this before! It keeps his leg from getting wet and he won't smell like a foot!!! He was so happy that he could get in the bathtub... even if it was just for only 5 minutes!!!

A Fighter

As you can see, Fisher's broken leg is not slowing him down. Him and the girls played the other night! Fisher does get worn down a little quicker than normal but who wouldn't! I am so proud of my little man being a fighter!!!

Now Casting...

So we were going to get Fisher's cast on Wednesday but Papa knows people so we got in with Dr. Terrell today to get a cast put on!!! Thanks Papa!!! Fisher is doing good. The "1st Cast" that they put on was not good enough for walking so they had to put another on. The first time he did good but he was done by the 2nd time! My little man is a "soldier"!!! He has done so good!!! Thank you all for your prayers. We will keep you updated!!!

Another ER visit...

Fisher and I went to the Sophia Mohler Rememberance Day and met Mom, Jered, & Austin there. Fisher and Austin were going down the bouncy slide and Fisher's leg got caught underneath him. We though that he just strained his ankle but we decided to get it checked out after talking to Dr. Marshall!!! Glad we did because he fractured his Tibia bone. So he has a splint on there right now and we will get a cast on Wednesday. Fisher is such a tough little boy!! He seems to be doing better now that it is restricted. This week has been one LONG week so we are praying for a better week!!! Please pray for Fisher and our family Wednesday!!!

Fisher's Dedication Ceremony!

We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family and great group of friends. Fisher was dedicated today. A Dedication ceremony is for the parents to raise their child up to know Jesus. Once they are old enough to make the decision to be baptised then they will perform that! We love our church!!!

A Week!!!

So this week did not end up as well as I wanted it to. We had a doctors appointment with the ENT on Tuesday with Fisher and as I posted... we have to get tubes. Then on Wednesday, I started to feel sick so I went to the doctor and it turns out that I was getting Strep!!! I am feeling a little better this morning but I HAVE to feel better by this weekend. We have a Christmas party on Saturday and then Fisher's Dedication Ceremony on Sunday! I am so excited for my friends and family to be able to experience the church that I love! I finally found something to wear!! I still don't have little man any shoes. I bought some cute ones but ofcourse his fat foot won't fit into them!!! I will have to bring him tomorrow to try some on. We also have Sophia's rememberance day tomorrow at the Civic Center. Please if you can make it come out and support cancer research.

Tubes

Fisher has to have tubes put in his ears. He has had about 7 ear infections in the past year. I might want to go to say maybe in the past 9 months. So we went to the ENT today and he has ANOTHER ear infection so the doctor, Dr. Wilson, said to get tubes. We scheduled him for tubes on January 12th! Wish me luck... because anyone that knows me... Knows my anxiety level!!! I will need to be calmed down when they put my little man under!!!

Doug

Mom and I went shopping Friday and when we were done we went to go visit with Doug. He was still not feeling well. They changed his antibiotic so hopefully he will be feeling well soon. Please keep him in your prayers this week as they will meet with a local oncologist on Monday and then possibly go to Houston for the 1st. We went to Eddie's grandmother's house for Thanksgiving. Great food with great family!!!

Blue bath water???

Pyper let him try some of her color changing tablets for the bath water and he loves them. We are slowly trying to teach him his colors so this is a great way to!!! Thanks Pyper!!!

We had early Thanksgiving Dinner at my Grandmother's on Sunday. Chip and the kids were there but Doug was unable to join us. He was fighting off an infection.

We went to Hederman Brothers Printing to visit their plant and see what they have to do in order to get our mailers ready to print and such. It was very informative and I enjoyed it!!!

It's like coming home!

Doug and Peggy are on their way home or at least to New Orleans for the night. Surgery went well and 2 days later he is being discharged. I will post more when I know something. All I know is that they are coming home and that he is on 3 different meds this time. Please visit the caringbridge site and write words of encouragement.

Trick or Treat... Smell My Feet

As you can see... The kids had a great time... Fisher started to get tired about 7 so it was time for us to leave. We really did not "Trick or Treat" but we did walk up and down the road and hang with the kids.
